This in-town project was unique in many ways requiring coordination between the City of Decatur, Dekalb County, Georgia Power, and Southern Company. The plan was to transform a once abandoned industrial site into a new mixed use community serving the City of Decatur to the west and what was previously a ‘food desert’ to the east along Ponce De Leon Ave.
Now complete, Gateway Decatur at Sam’s Crossing is strategically located minutes from Downtown Decatur, within walking distance to restaurants, retail, Marta and local attractions.
Project included 11 acres site work, with 54,000 square feet for the Publix center and 12,000 square feet of retail shops.
